I'm not sure why half the envelopes are gray and half are white. The white envelopes are smooth and easy to write on with a Sharpie or calligraphy pen. Unfortunately the gray ones don't work as well with any of my pens and the ink ends up looking faded. Also, I like to insert a piece of lined paper in the envelope to write out addresses, but you can't see through the gray ones at all to do that.The Thank you cards themselves are very cute and the colors are vibrant.
