These lights are perfect for my music room. They are dark bronze in color but look great. I personally think they would look cheap if they were black. LED light "warm" (not glaring, like in the school canteen). Installation was easy with a screwdriver, wire strippers, and electrical tape. The bracket comes with wire nuts. (PRO TIP: If your room comes prewired with a ceiling fan, you will have 4 wires: black (hot), white, green (ground), and red (switched). The light has black, white, and ground. Connect the lights, black wire with the red wire in the ceiling and you have the light on. I also installed a dimmer on the wall and to control the brightness. The atmosphere in the room is amazing now! I directed the lights towards my guitars .and it looks very "rich" when my guitar playing sounds as good as these lights look!
