picked it based on the reviews and paid 650 rupees for it. My operating system is Windows 7 Home Basic, and I installed the drivers from the included CD. After doing so, the camera failed to show the video (it displayed a black screen), and it only snapped pictures. Additionally, the software that controls the camera broke with an error. I went to an external website and got the most recent drivers and software. After installing it, the video started playing, but it sped up erratically and kept skipping frames; it was impossible to have a conversation using Skype. I battled for two hours and climbed the forum ladder, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who did it. I made the decision to check it out with Windows 8; all I did was put in the USB wire, and the camera automatically downloaded and installed the appropriate driver from the internet. I went to Skype, and everything seemed to be working properly; the sound and video quality are both quite good, and the picture is really clear. In a nutshell, if you don't want to go through the hassle of dealing with drivers, you should purchase Windows 8 as soon as possible.
