Very basic with a grid on the back but they move regardless of the surface every time I use them. They were chosen in the hope that they would stay in place while cutting. You are not. Knife marks on plastic are dangerous with prolonged use. I like colors that encourage the use of certain types of food (chicken or vegetables), but I'll probably forget and go with what's clean right now. It is best to buy similar products at a local store for dollars.
