Very badly packaged. The very sharp, pointed edge rests against the crate wall and is not protected by foam or anything else. Broken and unusable. And will you really negotiate compensation with the carrier for this price range? Most likely not. Choose a different decanter based on how it might be packaged. Good luck, right?
