Good on a Toshiba Satellite P755d with a few fixes

This is a decently made cart, aluminum and not quite plastic like the one I bought for an older Dell (never worked but too cheap to send back ). Two problems. for my special gear, Satellite and OCZ Agility. First, my laptop has a small bracket that attaches the optical case to the unit with a single screw under the memory bay. There are two screws from the laptop that are long enough to reach the original equipment optical housing through this bracket. These screws cannot reach the threads deeper in this car. Although I probably have hundreds of screws, none were long or thin enough to fit through the holes in the satellite clamp bracket on the carriage. I ended up using tape to attach the bracket to the trolley. I think everything will be fine. Second, Agility didn't show up in either the BIOS or Windows when the laptop was booting. After playing around with other drives in the caddy for a long time, I finally found that the Agility was not tight enough on the connectors. I had to push it back with a fat screwdriver. Success. Vertex wasn't a problem, and neither was the mechanical drive. Skill only. I believe it's just a problem with this drive, the connector board may have come loose a bit but isn't noticeable when regular SATA and power cables are connected to it. In my opinion, the latter is not a problem because of the function, not because of the form. bezel or lack thereof. Yes, without a frame it looks a bit strange. It took me some time to remove the satellite bezel from the optical drive, but I finally managed to do it. And I can still throw in an optical device if I need to (e.g. when troubleshooting) and run it frameless as a last resort. YMMV Good overall, for the price of course. You may want to find out how deep these threads are where the clamp strut attaches. My MFR screws were definitely not long enough. It would be nice if they could supply two screws in addition to the HD screws already made. And the lack of a universal frame was the only reason to deduct a star.
