Review on πŸš— Enhance Your Driving Experience with FRAM Fresh Breeze Cabin Air Filter CF9118A for Ford Vehicles by Lancy Rakesh

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I looked at the online installation guides for this and they must be using a different focus of the year as it is a metal box.

Okay I'll try to clear up some confusion about this filter. Will not fit a 2005 Ford Focus. I've been looking at online tutorials on how to install it and they must be using a different focus of the year as it's a metal box with a metal screen instead of the plastic box in the tutorial. However, this filter is the correct length, not the correct width. It's about 3 inches wider. I decided I would still use it. I pulled the grille out by simply pushing it down and breaking the adhesive holding it in place. I then used the mesh screen as a template and cut the filter to the correct width on a table saw. Then I put the filter back in place and put the mesh over it. I didn't try to glue the mesh in place. I assume you could, but I wanted to be able to pull it out and brush it off easily. The fan is still running strong and my car smells a lot better now. So it's a direct match, no. Is it possible to get it working, yes. good luck :o)

Pros

Cons
  • Big and bulky
