My 20 gallon fresh water tank is almost 2 years old, never had a water problem, then one day it got really cloudy. Water changes did not seem to improve the situation. did a little research and concluded that I have an algal bloom. I installed this lamp in a box with a filter and after 3 days the water became very clear. I definitely recommend the light if you are experiencing algal blooms.
