Review on Chemical Guys BUFX_102_HEX5 Hex Logic Medium Heavy Tools & Equipment by Kyle Gresham

Suitable for DIY but not for professional use

I love chemists, in fact I use all of these products for my detailing job but these pads and these all fit (orange, white, blue etc) are very disappointing when it comes to results and the product just stays on. both trims (orange trim and blue trim) only went through 2 cars, that's it. I have pads in my DA box that have been in use for over a year and are still holding up great. If you're a DIY enthusiast and only intend to use these pads once or twice a year for a major touch up or polish on your car, you're fine. However, when it comes to multi-level corrective work, these toppings generally suck and fall apart very quickly. They may not get through a car before dissipating. Using their V line (V32, V34, V36, V37) is a time consuming nightmare. There are many other professional brands that I would recommend before purchasing this line of products for buffing and corecin work. I want to be clear that chem guys are the AAA brand in my book but I just think they need to stick to what they do best and that is high tech chemical production, not equipment.

Pros
  • Body repair tools
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
