I recently got one of those ultrabook style laptops and can no longer use my laptop's port replicator. With Port-Rep I used a dual monitor setup and never had to open my laptop screen. The ultrabook cannot be used in this way. I haven't found a way to keep the laptop screen closed, but I use this product as a graphics card for a second monitor. Performance with my Dell Ultrasharp monitor was great. There are no problems with the video at all. Easy installation; ready to use in minutes. I was a bit nervous about the signal chain used. Monitor to StarTech.com graphics card, to a 4-port USB 3.0 hub to a laptop. So far, so good. (There are also three other devices plugged into the hub.) The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is that I had to unplug and plug it back in and out of the USB hub multiple times for it to wake up. If I find out that this is indeed the fault of the hub or laptop, I'll change to 5 stars. I would definitely buy this product again.
