Not suitable for AGM batteries
I have tried this charger on two different Optima AGM coil batteries. Both times the charger tried to weld them together. I've never seen an Optima battery get that hot. With the first battery I noticed the charger spin up as it neared 80% when it should have reduced the current and I was able to catch it before it melted. I wasn't so lucky with the second one, in fact it was a whistle from the release of gases. This charger also doesn't have a manual charging function, which is ridiculous. The technology in this charger is not suitable for expensive modern batteries.
