Just finished my first dump after using RV Digest. The reset went smoothly and the tank was completely empty. I bought this product because the caravan came to us when I bought it with a full black tank that wasn't completely empty (thanks to the dealer). I had to swing the tank to break everything and move. After that and reset after emptying most of the tank I bought some of this to burn down the leftovers and with the intention of using it regularly thereafter. For odor elimination and solids/paper breakdown. Works as advertised! The smell was greatly reduced but not completely eliminated, at least not on the first day of our camping trip. The second day it got better, the third day it was almost gone. After 3 days of driving and some 'fresh' deposits in the tank, the paper completely decomposed in just 3-4 hours and the solids completely dissolved. the dump is completely empty. I have transparent hose adapters to keep an eye on the discharge. Rough? Yes, but I finished the surprise game with the black tank and drain hose. I suppose you can use any paper you want, but having experienced a clogged drain hose before (not while using this product) I just don't want to risk it. I am happy with this product and will continue to use it. I hope that with regular use the smells will wear off even more and now, while not pleasant, they are tolerable. Use plenty of water in the aquarium, consider a water to solids ratio of 2 to 1 or more and special TP for RVs. We use Scott brand paper, which is excellent for our needs and breaks easily. Follow the directions on the bottle and it will definitely light up. love this product!
