I installed them on floating shelves that I built myself. Connections are simple and installation is quick. The only advice would be to slightly increase the size of the hole. I used a 4-1/8" diameter hole saw, larger than the lantern dimensions listed on the datasheet, and the lantern is the ONLY fit. I recommend a 4¼" hole.
