Mostly unusable for intended purpose

Serious design flaw. The product is designed to activate automatically when it senses darkness. The box even says it turns on automatically and will most likely ship with a dead battery due to lack of sunlight. So guess it for me; how to wear it in constant sun exposure so that it charges when needed and you don't constantly blink in the car? Only useful if you plan to turn it off at least four hours before dark and then leave it there.
