I'm biased against Bose products. The bass module gives the Soundbar 500 a lot of depth. Add 2 speakers and you have a great mix of movie and music sound. Bose are expensive, but well made, tested and deliver the desired sound. Easy setup. I tried installing the module at the back of the room, but Bose said the module should be next to the soundbar - on the same wall, in the front. Speakers (sold separately as a pair) are placed at the back of the room for the best overall sound. Bose uses a kind of proprietary standard that makes it rare to connect other non-Bose devices, or requires certain special connectors and cables. Regardless, I recommend this product.
