Robust. Hooked it up to my SoundTouch 300 so I didn't have to shell out $700 for a subwoofer that "should" come with it. This is a great addition to add some extra "cool". The reason it's not 5/5 is that it's pretty weak at its lowest end, but I'd still recommend it to anyone who has a SoundTouch 300 and doesn't want to be ripped off for $700. I still think the cost of this bass module 500 is high, but if you buy a Bose you know the name comes at a premium.

This bass module sucks! I bought a Bose 500 and the soundbar itself isn't worth the money unless you like exceptional voice clarity, which was a problem with my previous soundbar. But the addition of a soundbar completed the system. You need an application to connect. I'm biased against Bose products. The bass module gives the Soundbar 500 a lot of depth. Add 2 speakers and you have a great mix of movie and music sound. Bose are expensive, but well made, tested and deliver the desired sound. Easy setup. I tried installing the module at the back of the room, but Bose said the module should be next to the soundbar - on the same wall, in the front.
