I bought this shelf because I have two laptops that I constantly switch between. I wanted to fold them so my desk wouldn't look awkward. Many other shelves on the table were too high and interfering with my monitors. It happened at just the right height. If you see my photos, the top laptop is 14 inch and the bottom one is 15.6 inch. Enough space for a USB hub, external or a rail to sit next to. There is enough space on the bottom to fit my keyboard (full size) on my laptop, so I can type on my desk or just free up space. Assembly is very simple, 4 screws (Allen key included) and 4 pretty rubbers. Leg stickers under the metal legs. No really noticeable wobble or alignment issues. If you look at my second photo, the upper actually has a nice texture which makes it feel premium. I doubt it will show scratches or anything. Can't speak to the carrying capacity as I won't be putting a monitor on it, but it seems sturdy enough and the legs are pretty sturdy so I don't see why it can't carry a monitor on it. It only has a small branding logo on one leg but I just flipped it backwards and it's a lovely sleek all black shelf. .
