I only bought it for one reason: to connect my RME Fireface UFX+ to a computer in a recording studio. Interface not found when connected to the Thunderbolt 3 card on my computer. The Thunderbolt window doesn't show my device as connected and I can't find it in Device Manager. Several reboots, reinstalling Thunderbolt drivers for my computer and my RME interface didn't help. For reference, the motherboard is ASRock X299 Taichi LGA 2066. The processor is Intel Core i9-7900X Skylake-X 10-Core 3.3GHz. The Thunderbolt card is an ASRock Thunderbolt 3 AIC, the audio interface is an RME Fireface UFX+. All components have the latest BIOS and drivers installed. Yesterday I did a clean install of Windows 10 Pro on the system and reinstalled all my studio apps to keep the system as clean as possible. This device might work fine for other purposes, but it absolutely doesn't match my configuration.
