So this star arrived almost before Christmas. My old one had died which was gold and I was shorted out for years during the 2018 holiday season. This Kurt Adler star is pretty good and just right for a 7.5 foot tree. I'll confess I liked the GE version better, which I've credited to Lowe, but it's intended for a taller tree. At 10 inches it was too bright. ***UPDATE*** 4 MORE bulbs blew later this season. How do I know? They turned black! Kurt Adler should be ashamed of putting his name on this junk. The fuses seem fine, but there must be a short somewhere. This star, which looked great when lit, replaced an old one that was running for over 20 years! I'm tired of buying products that don't last long. In any case, I was very happy with this new star until yesterday it suddenly stopped working. After only working 2 weeks I had to figure out why it wasn't burning. Of course, a bad lightbulb is already part of it. For real? only 2 weeks? Disappointing.
