I immediately turned around and bought 5 more of these in different colors so I think that speaks well for the product. I've only had the printer for about a month and am printing almost non-stop (literally non-stop. Some of my print jobs are about 16-20 hours each with 2-3 jobs queued) and the printer has been great. A word of warning for those of you who, like me, are unsure about the differences between ABS and PLA. Yes, there are clear differences. And no, I won't go into technical differences like temperature differences and the like. I'll boil it down to this: I use PLA because I print a lot of tiles from RPGs, terrain, miniatures and the like. PLA is great for me because it's easy to use, durable enough, and dyeable enough when all is said and done. And I find it easier to work with such works. Why and when do I use ABS? I use ABS when doing details or large terrain like buildings. ABS is very durable. And I mean extreme. Basically, I could use both equally, but I've found that ABS works best for me with things that have a lot to handle and don't require a lot of maintenance (e.g. people with awkward hands, children, etc.). ABS was initially more difficult for me with the raft and outriggers until I started tweaking the software and not just using the basics. Yes, the thread is a bit expensive. But so are all the other threads if you think about it. And they have a $50 cartridge that I have to buy from time to time when the original wears out and a new case is needed to refill. But in the meantime, they've been great. I blew about 3 PLA spools and 1.5 ABS with no issues (well, no technical issues. Any issues I had involved me, not the filament or the printer). So yes I can absolutely say it's worth the money and a great product. And no, I'm not one of those people who bought a thread at a reduced price to do a review or something. I paid full price and I don't care.
