Review on πŸ”§ C.S. Osborne 253 Upholstery Tool for Webbing Stretching with Gooseneck Design by Jennifer Roberts

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Not sure if mine was defective or they are all the same

It was great for about 20 minutes just as the teeth were just starting to come out of their slots. I wasn't expecting this, and when you put muscle on a material that creates tension when pulled too hard, its sudden relaxation can cause injury. After the first time, it turned into a huge gamble, teaching me every piece I pulled out. I had to work hard to make this damn thing beat the surprise release so I could put it together quickly. The project ended with my tool looking like it had been involved in a murder. It was a horrible nightmare, but I can definitely vouch for the sharpness of these teeth. To be honest I don't think I've ever been stabbed with anything this sharp in my life and I sincerely mean it. ****Note: I understand putting my teeth back in, but I don't have the option to leave the project in the middle because I have an inquisitive, enthusiastic 5-year-old. Also, I knew my hands would hurt the next day, so I wanted to endure it all in one day before time had a chance to temporarily cripple me.

Pros
  • Art, Painting & Art Supplies
Cons

The handle gives great leverage and the short distance from tines to pivot ...
