This is a must if you are considering ordering the Evernew Titanium spirit lamp. If you don't place the pot directly on the spirit stove without this, you will end up with a simmer setting. This cross stand gives you medium to high heat settings. Turning the cross brace upside down will move the pot up the farthest and set the heat on high. Medium mode uses the rack as normal, again slow cook mode removes the rack and places the pan directly on the stove. I made the mistake of ordering the oven WITHOUT at first. Save time and wait and put both together.
