Works with all sorts of other brands!

At the time of purchase there were no reviews for the use of this stand with other brands. I'm telling you, here and now this cabin works with Trangea, Solo, even oventoaks. I flip it to be bigger and use it with my stove. It worked very well with my Solo oven. This is the best option for an ultra-light stand. Make sure you use a windbreak. I have a cut aluminum can.

Swing and lack, but good swing

Material quality and simple design - 5 stars. I give 3 stars (okay) because the pan is too close to the burner. If the cross stand were an additional 8mm higher than the top of the burner, the increased airflow would improve combustion and reduce heat-up time from 8-9 minutes to around 4-5 minutes for 500ml. The cooking time for 0.5 liters in a 1.5 liter kettle was almost the same as heating a 0.5 liter Ti beaker protruding about 10mm on all sides from the cross member. I like it and will use…

This is a must if you are considering ordering the Evernew Titanium spirit lamp. If you don't place the pot directly on the spirit stove without this, you will end up with a simmer setting. This cross stand gives you medium to high heat settings. Turning the cross brace upside down will move the pot up the farthest and set the heat on high. Medium mode uses the rack as normal, again slow cook mode removes the rack and places the pan directly on the stove. I made the mistake of ordering the oven

Made for Evernew burners; does not work well on Trangia etc.

This cross stand is lightweight, easy to use and very stable. And it will probably work just fine on an Evernew burner. I made the mistake of buying a Toaks siphon burner. The cross fits but does not leave enough clearance for an effective flame. After waiting 10 minutes to boil 500ml of water I gave up. Also tried the Trangia burner. Fits great - very stable. But not enough ground clearance. (In fact, I struggled to keep the flame going even after it was in bloom). Haven't tried this cross…

is actually a bit heavy for its size. Since the weight difference between this version and the stainless steel version is negligible, the only positives are that it cools down quickly and that you don't have to worry about rusting. The cooling speed is a more important factor as you buy it to speed up setting up and packing otherwise you will end up with a windproof device and the like. If you're planning on having a quick bite to eat on the go or on a hike, then this is a great option. If…

You still need a windscreen

Super light and well made, but not perfect for a Trangia burner. You can't use a cooking ring with this one, so it's always running at full capacity. Good for simmering, not so good for cooking. You have to remove it (while it's hot) to put out the burner. The base of the Trangia isn't wide and you have to be extra careful to make sure it's stable, the price pot can knock it over. You still need a windshield. You can make a very lightweight strainer out of a $1 piece of aluminum welded into the

Does the job and I can't ask for more.

Of all the options I looked at, this was the most compact and lightest. It does exactly what it is advertised to do, nothing more, nothing less. Like all titanium products I found it expensive but that is the reality and I can agree. While the cutouts are meant to make this stand even lighter, they also help dissipate heat and allow you to store it quicker than usual. While this isn't a major consideration and is really just a flash on screen in the scheme of things, I appreciate it because I…

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Out of style

There is nothing wrong with this product. At first I only used it for my Trangia spirit lamp (the commercial version of the Trangia, not the military version). It fits perfectly. I later used it on my Canway camping wood stove as an alternative pot support. It fit perfectly although I had to flip it to use it on the canway. When I had a Trangia alcohol burner and a Canway wood stove along with this Evernew Titanium Cross, I found at least ten different ways to use them together. I had so many…

Great design!: Ovens and Grills

This cross base is perfect for the Mini Trangia Spirit Lamp or similar sized replicas but will not work with Swedish Army surplus Trangia. alcohol furnace. Evernew states that you should only use it with their titanium stove, but it goes well with my mini trangia and lifts the pot or cup the perfect distance from the flame... the trangia stove comes with an Evernew cross , which weighs 64 ounces, in the slideshow. kleen Kanteen, everything seemed fine and stable for several boils during my…
