Review on Evernew Titanium Alcohol Stove Cross by Fred Meeks

This cross stand is lightweight, easy to use and very stable. And it will probably work just fine on an Evernew burner. I made the mistake of buying a Toaks siphon burner. The cross fits but does not leave enough clearance for an effective flame. After waiting 10 minutes to boil 500ml of water I gave up. Also tried the Trangia burner. Fits great - very stable. But not enough ground clearance. (In fact, I struggled to keep the flame going even after it was in bloom). Haven't tried this cross stand on an Evernew burner - I assume it will probably work fine with it. But if you're hoping for a base that can be used on other stove tops, I'd go for one with more clearance between the burner and the top of the pot base.
