I have experience with other reading lights and this one is very good. The best part is the built-in rechargeable battery, so you don't have to worry about coins or AAA batteries. Variable brightness is also good as the desired brightness depends on the brightness of the environment. The touch sensitivity is very high. It's good for random fiddling to turn things on and off, but annoying when manipulating and turning things on. Since it cycles through brightness levels, you should also be aware that you'll have to swipe to super bright to turn it off even before you go to bed on a pitch-dark night. A little annoying. The clip is super strong. I wouldn't attach it directly to a paperback unlike some other lights I've used, but if you attach it to a headboard or something it will definitely stay in place. An unexpected feature is that the base is quite large, with anti-slip strips on the base. This allows the flashlight to stand separate from the clamps and still be fully articulated. Last but not least, it still glows while charging, so you can just plug it in while reading when the battery runs out.
