Didn’t last the winter

Received this clock as a gift for my outside patio. Love the look of it but it didn’t make it through the winter. Both hour hands are lose and dangling at 6:00. I want to remove glass to try and tighten but I’m not sure how to do it without breaking the glass. Any suggestions?
