Gamblin paints are my favorite oils. I've used many brands over the past 30 years, but these days almost all the oils I buy are Gamblin. Why? The texture of the paint is very even, thick and oily. They carry a large amount of pigment, I often dilute them down to glaze and the colors are still vibrant and natural. Her choice of colors and mediums is hard to beat. in between. But nine times out of ten when I open a tube of oil paint, it's a tube of Gamblin paint. This is a great starter kit, with the colors included you can easily mix any other color. If you quote the price for individual tubes, you end up paying significantly more. The box which is a stucco panel is a nice touch and adds even more value to this set. While most of my other colors are lying around, I had to buy a second one to refill the colors I was using.
