When I received the product I expected it to spark enough to light a candle. However, to my surprise, it actually generates a constant electrical charge that also produces a scary hiss when I press the button. I really like that it has a sliding on/off switch so I can feel safe keeping it indoors and not have to worry about it accidentally catching fire in the house. I can even use the flashlight function to see in the dark without lighting a candle. The product is lightweight and the perfect length to light candles without burning your fingertips (like matches and regular lighters).
