I got this because my portable air conditioner broke the day before Seattle's record highs of 100 degrees. Seattle has about 33% air conditioning coverage because it didn't need it in the past, but with climate change, we need it more and more often. This little device was relatively inexpensive and appeared earlier than any other manufacturer. As a result, my shared living space (great room layout that combines the kitchen, living room and dining room) remains livable. Don't misunderstand that most of the territory is not kept cool or cold but is habitable. For a single room it would definitely be great!
