The device is more than worthy whether we look at it as a single monolith, along with a full holder, or in a portable form. However, if we are referring to each individual controller, then this is nothing more than a toy in my opinion. First of all, Joy-Con are appropriate for individuals who play just Nintendo-exclusive games. You won't experience any issues, for instance, with titles like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, or 1-2-Switch. However, I advise using the Pro Controller for more important matters. For me personally, playing Joy-Con in MK 11 or, say, Street Fighter is not possible due to some characteristics of the cross, or rather, its total lack, in the typical form. Not everything is straightforward when it comes to ergonomics as well. Many people claim that certain models eventually lose their buttons, develop a backlash, develop chips and scratches on the cover, etc. I myself have not experienced this, but I do advise staying away from dark hues. Other than that, there aren't any particular grievances against these controllers. Unless the cost is very great. Obviously in contrast to rivals made by Sony and Microsoft. But that is a different tale.
