For the most part I am completely satisfied with this sound level meter. The instruction manual states that the accuracy is no more than 3.5 decibels and no less than 3.5 decibels. I don't have a better meter to lay around and check accuracy; However, it's very consistent for things I measure frequently and for items I have in previous manufacturer specs. It has the lowest reading level of 30dBA. I wish it was lower, but 95% of the scenarios would be unnecessary as most rooms have "quiet" background noise above 30dBA.
