Has good build quality, easy to use and seems to measure sound level quite well. The only minor thing is that when I'm in a locked room, which for me is very quiet and also covers the noise sensor, it still doesn't go below 42.

I have had no issues with this reader. I bought it to get an idea of how loud my car radio was. The only downside is that it can't read above 130dB as I was able to max it out at about half volume. I assumed so when I bought it, but it's still fun to use and have.

This sound level meter works very well for what I use it for. I work in an industry that isn't particularly noisy, but we still wanted to measure decibels so our employees can work in a safe environment with proper hearing protection. The size and functionality of this meter makes it easy for us to take frequent measurements!

I bought this dB sound level meter to check if my wife is really yelling at me loudly. 120dB! This kid is perfect. That's right (my friends said she screams so loud you can hear her inside!). Now I have a way to prove it's damaging my hearing. And her snoring? Dagger! I measured it at 100 dB! Now she believes me and it saved our marriage. :) I recommend it to anyone!

The quality control of this product is not the highest. I bought this SPL meter to manually calibrate my speakers for my home theater. Set my AVR to reference volume and start playing test tones for different ear speakers. At 1 foot the meter showed 35 dB using slow and weighted values. Changed batteries and same thing. Hit it hard on the back of the counter a few times and it started to work.

Very disappointed it arrived broken. When you press the power button, it turns on, but as soon as you release the button, it turns off. So you have to hold down the button to keep it on. I read a review from another person who had the same issue, so this seems to be a common mistake. It's clearly not designed for that. Something else. The user manual says it needs to be recalibrated if you use it too much, but gives no instructions on how to do it. It just means calling the customer service…

Update 28/06/21: Still sturdy even after my daughter dressed it up as a Minion from Despicable Me Fantastic value for money! Update: After 10 months my rating has increased to 5 stars.
