After losing my phone due to the flimsy design of the "X" RAM phone mount, I researched long and hard for alternatives and finally decided for a motorcycle phone TackForm. Because I use a magnetic mount when driving and love the simplicity and convenience of this system, I didn't want to use a phone case with a specific mount. I was a bit skeptical about the grip of the tackform holder, but after trying it I was happy with its grip. I have an iPhone Xr with a protective bumper phone case that fits snugly into the tackform phone mount. I'll use the tether provided because I'm paranoid having already lost a phone, now I'm the strap and braces type, but it's probably not necessary as the tackform mount is strong, especially compared to the sluggish one RAM phone on the wrist.
