Review on MICHELIN X-Ice Snow 205/55 R16 95H winter by Dorota Pietrak ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Overall pretty good, an equal number of pros and cons.

Before that, there was a Bridgestone (I don’t remember the model) a little wider by 5 mm. Changed to new 165/70 R14 MICHELIN X-Ice Snow, because the spikes from the old tires flew out. I realized that I threw money for tires into the abyss as soon as I rolled on new tires on a snowy road. The funny thing is that the name of the model is Snow, and the brakes on the snow are disgusting. On ice, by the way, they also slow down so-so.

Pros
  • Quiet
Cons
  • The price is high. Braking performance on snow is abysmal. During a snowfall, ABS is activated, and the car is driven further through the snow - into the bumper in front of the stopping car. Moreover, the tires are installed on NISSAN MICRA, and this is far from a car - it crawls like a snail.
