Returned. I tried adjusting the tightening of the screws, it didn't turn smoothly for ALL

I had to return this product. It was so difficult to loosen the screws in the joints because they were so tight they wouldn't turn smoothly. Then it seems too loose. I haven't even installed it. I don't want to pay $25 for something that I have to struggle to adjust to work properly. The part that holds the tablet or phone is plastic with a tension spring. It was so hard to stretch I thought it would break in my hand. I don't see it lasting long.
