Not the tallest of the buildings.

Nice case but not as compact. Its aluminum case handles heat very well in fanless operation. It is very easy to install and attach the hard drive to the case. But what use are they if the whole case is mounted on plastic ends. The inferior plastic back holds the entire heavy 3.5-inch drive. And the screws are attached to the plastic core. That said, don't over-tighten it, it will remove the threads in the plastic core and that's it. The screw keeps turning. Here's the important thing. I installed a 2TB hard drive and needed to move/backup large amounts of data. , you must turn off the hard drive before you can do anything with the dialog box/progress bar. 4 times red red under Vista. I thought. .same problem. Dead Red first copy attempt. Data transmission is unreliable. Apps freeze and I blame the app. For example, iTunes updates iPod, freezes, won't quit, or ejects. There is a red light on the hard drive! What can I say. I can't fault the hard drive because it's very reliable. Hitachi Deskstar, I ordered a 3.5 inch Macally case. No problem! Transfers TB of data flawlessly. I've never had problems like this with other external drives 3.5 and 2.5. So be careful. That's a bad body. :-)

Pros
  • Accommodates a SATA hard drive
Cons
  • Nothing here
