I needed more storage in my living room and wanted something to blend with my new gray flooring and gray walls and this console was exactly what I wanted. Assembly was easy because I totally ignored the directions as I was working alone and have a bad back. I took all the parts out of the box and placed the table top upside down on my dining table. I then attached the 2 straight bars to the long sides of the top, then I loosely attached the side support legs to the ends of the straight bars (make sure you have the side supports facing correctly so the drill holes for the mesh shelves mirror each other). I then attached one end of one mesh shelf to one side support leg with the backsplash edge of the shelf positioned down on the side where 2 holes are drilled. Here’s where it’s tricky: you only need one screw but you have to choose which of the holes to use as you have a choice to have the shelf lay flat or tipped back when right side up. I preferred flat so I used the bottom hole as you are looking at it when upside down for assembly. Once both mesh shelves were in place, I tightened all screws using the Allen key included. When you tighten the screws you will hear a loud bang each time but it is just the screw thread going past the metal edge of the drill hole, keep tightening until secure. I hope this helps as some reviews complained about the directions which aren’t clear if you’re not used to assembling anything. I had it together in 20 minutes and it looks great!
