I got it 1/2 out of necessity, 1/2 out of nostalgia. I used to try to be a minimalist and never succeeded. The clips were never too big, some were even magnetic if you can believe it, etc. I settled on a foldable leather wallet and stumbled across an ad for another minimalist wallet. I started looking and found this one. I like the design very much. I actually like the design. Yes, it's banal that manufacturers should label anything with outdoor functionality as "tactical" and paint it black, but it looks good. I really wanted a multi tool. I wish it was more functional, maybe mini scissors, but I think I get my money's worth compared to a standard Dango with a fairly sharp edge that can open pockets and a can opener. The wallet is durable, feels good in the hand and is ergonomic. I think this is a much better option than sub-minimal wallets big enough for a credit card. It's not enough unless you're walking around with 3-4 credit cards. This device does not have a rubber band. Just a silicone strap that feels durable and will hopefully last a long time. It also made me seriously reconsider all the crap I carry around in my wallet. Combined with my Garmin watch, which allows me to pay wirelessly, I have reduced my everyday cards to: * driver's license * 1 credit card * 1 debit card * AAA cards * 3 health insurance cards (some paper). good enough in my wallet and probably less what I carry by about 2/3: * I don't need my savings card; it's on my wallet. I bring it with me when needed and pharmacies pay wirelessly * Gift cards are only carried if requested * No plastic carrier for a hunting license * Clip my discount cards to a keychain * Use an insurance phone app for my insurance cards Sounds counterintuitive, but I also use a money clip. That's because I rarely use/need cash, so I'd rather carry it separately when needed than everyday. You can put money under the straps, although it seems troublesome. Now, what I didn't like: * COST. It's very expensive for what you get. I think the reasonable price is 1/3 of the price. I got it as a novelty and there's no way the average person would spend that much to tweak their bag. If it was a lot cheaper I'd probably give a few of these away. * The pocket on the back panel is too small. As I said, I probably only have a multi tool and about 3-4 cards in the back of my wallet. Yes, you CAN put more cards in this area, but once you get past 2-3+ of the tool, the backplate will rise enough that it "floats" and is no longer secured by the wallet frame. Just a strap, which is more than secure enough but feels unreliable, especially at this price point.* The front inner pocket is too stiff On the leather side, the inner pocket is difficult to access All I have is my flimsy driver's license and it's hard fishing them out. Maybe one of the non-leather materials is smoother and thinner, I don't know. the dango version is a bit flimsy. However, I'm still good at carrying something around with this form factor. There's just nothing that beats the price justifies for it.a person who is too stubborn to part with their faithful tee or double.
