Chalked gear - compatible with any camshaft - used on GM small cap TPI distributor.
This part is for 1989 ERA GM TPI V8 engines, small computer controlled distributor with .427" shaft diameter. It can also be used on EFI engines with throttle body and other engines. It does not meet the standard. Distributor of GM HEI. As for the detail, it seemed well made and fit as intended. The one I got was rough in the area under the gear (where the roll pin goes) compared to the factory gear that was machined into this one. It will die Doesn't affect performance but I want it to be as smooth as the original.This gear is melonized steel compatible with any type of camshaft.Forget roll pin PN 456652.
