The wheels on our 3 year old Kitchenaid dishwasher (best model) didn't work because the cheap plastic tabs holding the wheels kept falling off. Then the frame could no longer be pushed back and forth. Really cheaply built. We were told at Kitchenaid and elsewhere that we would have to buy 2 sets (4 wheels) of new tongues for $28.99 per set. We really wanted to find an alternative to those crappy plastic tongues as we had to buy 2 new wheel sets every 3 years. We are 2 adults, there are no children in the house, we use the hot water supply once a day and do not overload it, so it has become really cheap. These 1/2 plastic grommets were the correct length for our Kitchenaid DW, but a person would need to measure their wheelset to order the correct length as there are different lengths available. They were inexpensive. To hold these nylon mounts to the wheel machine, my husband bought nylon washers. All purchased from amazon.com. Works great and we saved maybe $300 if we had the DW for 9 years and had to buy 3 (4 pack) wheelsets. When people buy a dishwasher, look at how the wheels attach to the wheel and don't buy if plastic tabs are used.
