One of my most treasured possessions among my large collection of baking supplies, inherited from my mother and probably at least 50 years old, is my flour sifter! Every time I look at it, since it's a bit rusty around the edges and looking a little battered with long-time use, I fear it will reach the end of its life, before my ability to bake comes to an end! I was given a new-fangled type sifter, and it was just a nuisance! I feared that my trusty sifter was no longer being made and then I saw this one. It's an exact copy, right down to the black ball at the end of the handle! Thank you, to the company that knows a good design that has outlasted modern "improvements." I like the little powdered sugar sifter that came with it, although it seems way too small. I'd suggest something twice that size would be more useful. The dough cutter that also comes with the set is good quality, and the measurements on it are helpful. But the sifter is the star of this show! Here's to another fifty years of sifting, although I won't be around to see it. I hope one of my granddaughters might still be using it.
