X-Large mat that is porous to dye based color

I love the size of this mat for crafting. It does absorb ink and colors. I used brusho crystal colors and water on cardstock. Some color bled through onto my workspace and several weeks later, the mat is still releasing color when I clean it. It does not however release color or stain onto my new projects.
