After two years of use I'm taking this lens out of my bag more and more and loving the results. I consistently get great shots and love the rich colors. I mainly use it on my a7Riii these days and think it's a great combination. Yes, the lens is heavier than a walzoom, but quality glass is always heavy. The 70-300 is about the same weight and length as the 24-70 GM, which I also use on the A7Riii. I find both lenses well balanced on this body. However, it's a bit heavy for the A6000 series cameras. I bought this lens to use with my A6300 for a project that needed a long range that offered a combo and thought I would soon replace it with the much more expensive 70-200 f2. 8 gr. Two years later I see no reason for it. I'm very happy with the results of this lens and the extra 100mm range is welcome. It certainly isn't cheap, but this lens is worth what you get from it. Highly recommended.
