Although I was shocked at how small it was - it saved a damaged 3/4" threaded rod that I had already welded to the bracket. I used a dremel and a magnifier and was able to move the nut the entire length of the rod within minutes. ONE LIMITATION is that this works best if you can position the tool perpendicular to the thread being repaired. Even with a Dremel extension, I had to work at a slight 6" angle from the end of the rod, which wasn't a problem due to the large thread I was attaching, but this could be a problem for thinner threads.
