I only bought it to clean my tongue. I didn't know he had stubble on his tongue! I like it for that reason. It works well and I tried the end of the toothbrush it looks honey/soft. It's great for travel as it's only 1 item and if you lose or forget it it's cheap enough that you can easily replace it without crying about it. Don't press your tongue too hard when using this as the edges are sharp. I had some blood when I first spit up and I wasn't sure why. You do NOT have to be aggressive with it! I use it front to back and side to side to clean the tongue from all sides. When I start my tongue is white (because of the toothpaste I just used) and after that it's nice and pink like it should be. It's effective, but be careful not to hurt yourself.
