Review on 🎨 Wella KOLESTON Perfect Permanent Creme Haircolor, 2 oz (includes Sleek Tint Brush) - 6/0 Dark Blonde Natural Shade by Mia Parks

Much darker than it should be!

I bought this color, 6/71 Dark Blonde Brown Ash, to replace the Clairol I was using. Clairol looked great right after I dyed my hair—it almost matched my natural color perfectly, and it's hard to tell I dyed my hair—but when I had to redye it, it was too orange. I switched from other light browns to medium brown to ash in hopes of moving away from the coppery orange tones. I thought I'd give the Wella a try as it seemed more "professional" to me than my Clairol. So I bought the same 6A color and 6% developer and tried it at home. Oh my God! The color is SO not dark blonde and not ash brown. My hair has gone so dark it almost looks goth. It is a deep dark brown, almost black, with a reddish tint. If it's an ash gray color, then why is there red in it at all? I thought Ash tended towards green and should have taken away the coppery, warm colors. I'm not a pro so maybe I did something wrong but I followed the mixing guide (mix 1:1 with 6% developer) and let it sit for 30 minutes. I'm sure it will be gone within the next month and I'll be going back to my old Clairol. Rather handle copper oranges than look like I slipped and fell into a vat of squid ink.
