Review on Intel Core i7-4790K CPU (8M Cache, up to 4.40 GHz) - BX80646I74790K by Micha Banasiewicz ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not quite what I wanted, but mostly okay.

Waited a long time. I read different opinions after the tests. And so he bought the village of Canyon, replacing them with ay5 sandy bridge. Cooler Zalman Performa. It looks like it should be cold. But no. Doesn't cool properly. He took off his native Zalman cooler and installed the master cooler at 2022 rpm. That's horrible. The roar was like in an unfed barn. Bought a 1500 RPM Noctua fan. It seems to be enough. But, if you put a percentage in overclocking, which the motherboard provides, then the trot is provided. The temperature rises above 77 immediately. On default, where overclocking is only 10%, everything is OK. But you feel cheated with the letter "K". I'll try to install a second fan on the cooler tower. And there are very few such fans to push air out. Usually, they all work on two. In short, in order not to suffer, I installed in the BIOS "without overclocking", the motherboard Asrok Extrim 6. Everything became normal. But I feel that I overpaid for something that I will never be able to use. This is the worst feeling ever (:

Pros
  • Nothing.
Cons
  • Too high heat dissipation.
