Review on ๐ŸŽฎ Enhanced Xbox 360 Media Remote by Nancy Scott

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It wasn't that annoying at first

You have to be right in front of the XBox for the remote control to work; The range seems to be very limited. I have to maintain line of sight and press buttons many times for something to happen. The remote also lacks the bumper and trigger buttons of a regular XBox controller. This is important if you have parental controls enabled and your password uses the numbers assigned to the bumper/trigger buttons. I had to change the password to only use numbers matching a cross. Additionally, apps from XMB, Netflix, HBO, etc. use bumpers to quickly scroll through pages of content. Since there are no bumper buttons on the remote, you must use the left/right buttons to scroll manually. It didn't bother me at first, but after a while it got annoying. The PS3 remote has a much longer range and I'm used to standing anywhere in the room and controlling my PS3 with it. I wish the XBox remote was as responsive and sensitive as the PS3 remote. However, the XBox remote can (to a certain extent) control your TV. With the XBox remote control you can turn the TV on and off, change the volume and change the input. It was relatively easy to set up, but they really could have made the process more intuitive.
