Review on Gislaved Nord Frost 200 205/55 R16 94T winter by Boguslawa Sieminska ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fits the description completely, very satisfying.

Autumn. Asphalt. Drove 1000km since purchase. Rear wheel drive 205\55\16 XL 2022. I used to always ride Velcro. Prior to the NF200, there was a blihzzak VRX bridge - soft as a feather bed. Surprised that there is no noise from the spikes. After changing shoes with a summer old one, the oak yokohama s. Drive never lost comfort. Although by itself it is a little noisier than Velcro. The sidewall is soft (but not prezik) - pits, seams, patches pass well. At first I was shocked how the spikes behave on the pavement. After the summer s. Drive had the feeling that I was not driving on asphalt, but on ice. This is all at near zero temperatures. Now after 1000 km it seems to start rolling. Reactions on the steering wheel (belated) almost do not strain and no longer scare. When the minus hits, I think everything will return to normal, but for now we are waiting for winter. By the way, I was surprised by another moment. Size 205, and the actual tread width is 175mm. Apparently because of this, including on the pavement after the summer such a contrast. Rubber ceased to scare on the pavement after a couple of thousand km. When did it start snowing/raining. Apparently, the oil from the molds in the lamellas really gives such an effect, and until it is washed out, you need to drive carefully. The end of March has arrived. Happy with the rubber. Like an elephant. During this winter, I never got stuck anywhere, although I climbed into the snowdrifts on purpose. On the road I feel much more confident than before. I constantly notice that when everyone slows down a lot and is careful, I still have a large margin of traction. As for noise, there is none. Rubber spikes releases only on acceleration / braking / cornering, i. E. when there is a redistribution of weight. If you just drive straight on the bare asphalt, there is no rumble / noise. Noise is heard only when you overtake someone on a different rubber. PS On rough ice, tires work well only for braking. When the weight falls on the muzzle, the spikes come out and cling well. The rest - you need to be friends with the head. If you need to drive sideways on a frozen lake - this rubber will not suit you, it is for ordinary civilian driving, or a hooligan, but in snow, not on ice.

Pros: Low noise, spikes hold well. Has cons: Rubber will have to look as it is not in all stores.
