Stick with the Sonicare brand!
Have been using Sonicare toothbrushes for at least 10 years. From time to time I buy unbranded clothes for myself or my children. My Sonicares last 3-5 years. After 1 year my non-brand didn't turn on so I bought it. That works great. When I change brushes, I also clean my insides. Maybe that's why the unbranded didn't work. I pour water straight into my Sonicare with no problem. I don't notice any difference between 1100 and other styles. I usually buy them from Costco and they only sell 1 style (not this one).
